Frequently Asked Questions| Answer: |
Actually by accident I used to always have a camera on me just about everywhere I went to capture fun moments and groups of people doing crazy things. Then I started a scuba diving business and began diving alot. One day a friend of mine who was a wildlife photographer came in and had his gear with him and I was impressed. Afterwards I went on several liveaboard trips to the Bahamas and started diving with sharks on the reefs and wanted to photograph the experience. I became hooked on photography and it just kept growing from there. A friend asked me to photograph her for a swimsut contest she was in and the results were nice so I persued it. It was like a snowball effect and now I find myself shooting just about full time. |

I really enjoy the challenge of seeing just how beautiful I can make a person and the attention to detail that is necessary to produce a nice image. Also the interaction with people is a whole lot of fun. The people I have met since I began this whole thing have been extremely nice and tons of fun. The network of people that you will meet sometimes surprises me as well. |

I always would like for a model who has shot with me to do well and credit me at least partially with helping but I am not a model manager. I will submit to magazines and if I have a project that I think a model will fit well for with me or another photographer I'll pass the name along to whoever needs to get it. I've been asked but I have no desire to get into that aspect of it. I will push and try to do what I can to help and I can offer opinions and advice but the model must make their own decision about what to do. |
| Answer: |
Absolutely, I used to not think so but after doing enough shoots with and without I find that if you are serious about wanting to look your best for a photoshoot then a MUA is always a good idea. I know of only a very few models that are good enough to do their own make up and have it look professional. Please ladies either hire a MUA or go have it done prior to your shoot.(your results will show) |
| Answer: |
Of course I do. You don't hire anyone whos services you'd like to use without paying their rates. My rates differ greatly depending on the purpose of the images and whats required during a shoot. Also travel must be covered by the client as well. Trade work is only done if I feel it can benefit me down the line with photo sales or referrals or maybe even some type of publications. |
| Answer: |
Yes it has actually. I have been published in several national magazines as well as calendars and company websites for swimwear companies in the industry. Some of my work has also been included in several albums from musicians some new and some extremely well known. |

Currently I use Nikon camera equipment exclusively. I also have an assortment of lights and reflectors to use as well as the ability to use lights in very remote places with portable power supplies. |
| Answer: |
All of the wardrobe she intends to shoot with of course as well as a few things that are forgotten some times such as lip gloss, hair ties, accesories like costume jewelry, a brush is nice, heels are always needed, and the other stuff we can go over during contact. |
| Answer: |
Absolutely. I realize that texting and emails are popular currently especially with models but I am an advocate of actually speaking prior to a shoot and to work out details. I will always text for a quick answer or for something small but to work out the details of a shoot there must be a conversation and the day of the shoot there must be a conversation just to touch base and see if life has gottten in the way (as it does sometimes) |
| Answer: |
Yes I do. I have been burned a few times by models setting up shoots only to bailout at the last minute without a forwarning or excuse or some random excuse which caused me to not schedule anyone else that day and cost me money. I will require a deposit that is refundable up to 48 hours out but if the model is a "flake" there will be no refund. I understand that life gets in the way but common courtesy is if your not ready 100% don't book it. |
| Answer: |
This is a question that could get me into some trouble so I'll just say that anyone who shows up ready to work and get serious while still having a great attitude and a good time will always be on top of the list. |
